DJ Manuel Bio

My birthday is October 16 1973

I live in Fresno, Ca

I always had a love for music. My fascination began while listening to Cameron spin on the radio. While in high school in Hollister I always used to bring my record collection to parties & I would wait for a chance to play a set. I started to DJ for Weddings and Quincaneras (The hardest thing to do when your 16 and don’t have a vehicle to transport all your equipment) Shortly there after I moved to Fresno. I got a job at the local record shop Music Connection and started spinning at events and clubs more often. Dejaying became my fulltime profession shortly there after. Fast-forward to now I’m happily married to the love of my life (Corina) and I have three wonderful Children (Michael, Nicholas & Manuel Jr.), I still spin but only for mix shows.

Well, I don’t have one particular genre of music I like to play the most; I like all types of music. But if you would ask me “what’s your favorite genre of music” I would have to say.... Miami Bass! & Freestyle.

I’ve been Spining for 15 years.

I try using only top of the line equipment (Rane, Pioneer, Technics etc.)I feel you get your money’s worth using this type of equipment.

The one thing that really influenced me the most was listening to Cameron Paul in the mix on 106 KMEL San Francisco every Weekday and Saturday Nights

I am currently spinning for Mix Matters and Clear Channel’s Alice 96.7 in Fresno Ca

Spinning is not just a hobby for me it’s a passion. And with technology the way it’s heading I think it’s only going to get more exciting not only for myself but for any future DJ’s.
