Day26

Mix Matters interview with Day 26

DAY26
ALBUM REVIEW
by Joshua Jones

With the music mogul P. Diddy behind them this new R&B group is set to bring some great music to your ears. The band consists of 5 men. Brian Angel, Mike McCluney, Qwanell "Q" Mosley, Robert Curry, and Willie Taylor. Each artist brings their own flavor and style to the group. This debut album has its strengths and weaknesses. But the strengths definitely out way the weak points. One may want to compare them to other male groups of the past but they are able to hold their own and should be compared to themselves. Overall their sound is very strong. Their melodies move you and they carry each other throughout the album. The soulful sound is seductive and sure to be a lady pleaser. As stated in the inverview it has songs for the club, just chillin at home or that late night rendezvous. The only weakness is there are times it sounds like they are trying too hard to get their point across. As if the woman they are singing to just doesn't get it. Still this does not get in the way of enjoying the song. Some songs are stronger then others but when it comes to opinions we all have one so we will let you decide after you buy the album. If you are an R&B fan you should include Day 26 in your collection.
