Where have you lived before?
I went to high school in Claremont CAli which is outside of LA in southern Cali and I went to College in Massachucetts…so I spent some time in those places….
What got you started as a DJ?
--I first started DJin’ when I was doing a special school program @ USC. I started on the college radio station there just because it seemed fun and I had a late night show so I just started messing around on the tables that were in the back room. Started collecting records from then on…and the rest is history!
How long have you been a DJ?
DJin’ for 4 years now
What type of equipment did you start with and what do you use know?
I started with the best. 1200 Techniques and a vestax 05 pro mixer….i was taught early just to save up and buy the best first, so u don’t buy somethin’ cheap…and then end up buyin’ the good shit later anyways….now I use CDJ 1000’s
What's your favorite Genre to play?
Hip Hop fa sho!!!!
Where do spin? (stations, clubs)
I spin and host my own mixshow on Friday Nights from 2am-4am on 106.1 KMEL. And I spin @ all clubs all over the Bay Area; Sony Metreon, Club Deep, 330 Ritch St. and more….
What is your role at the station?
I am a mixer and on air personality
What would you like your role to be in the future?
I would love to just move up @ the station in my same roll hopefully aquring an earlier timeslot so more people can hear my show!!
What are some of the craziest things that have happened to you while at the station?
Station has been pretty tame…
Club?
Always crazy stuff goin’ on in the clubs….fights, and one time we got locked in the club because it was like WW3 outside the club…hahahhaha
Any Career highlights you would like to share?
Someone you met, something you got to do for someone else. Anything. I just DJ’d in Taiwan this past summer. It was definitely the best!!! I had a lot of fun!!!
Who are some other DJ's that you feel are at the top of the game? Who influences you?
DJ’s that are @ the top of their game and influence me are DJ Clue, Funk Master Flex, and Kid Kapri!!! Love them…because they do more than just DJ. They have businesses…are on TV and they are VOCAL DJ’s….they don’t just spin records…they like to talk to the crowd like me
Do you have any Mix Tapes, CDs out?
Yup…I have a mixtape series out called Got Bay? And it has all the Bay Area slaps and hits on them. It’s Bay Area Packed!
Any groups in your area that you think need recognition?
Yup…all the bay artists need recognition…they will soon cause the bay is BLOWIN’ UP! Here are a few: Keak da Sneak, Mistah FAB, San Quinn, The Team, Frontline, The Hoodstars, Killa Keese, Big Rich, Ya Boy, Mac Dre, Bailey, Messy Marv, Frank Sticks, Turf Talk, Furious, Guce and so many more!!!
Any advice to give to new DJs wanting to get into radio?
Yes. Make sure you have your skills on point and make sure you have a humble attitude!

Why do you think radio stations sometimes go through MixShow DJs like wild fire?
I’m not sure? My station stays pretty consistent…but I think stations just want to keep the flavor hot and new and fresh….
Do you think MixShow DJs get enough recognition? If no, why and how could it be change?
Yes, we are starting to get more…but there is always room for more. Artists most of the time are the voices of Hip hop, so they need to give more thanx to the DJ’s that play their records so that the fans will really know who’s behind breakin’ their records to the people
Where do you see the state of Hip Hop and/or Dance going in the next 5 years?
I’m not sure…and I’m honestly I’m scared to say…but I hope it’s still here!
If you weren't mixing what would you be doing?
I’d be still workin’ somewhere in entertainment, whether music, dance, acting, all of that…I love entertaining…PERIOD
What keeps you in the game?
The goals that I want to achieve for myself and all my fans that support me.
Are you in this for life?
In entertainment. Yes. PERIOD.
Any thoughts on Hip Hop getting involved in the political game?
Nah…not really...but I do think that some of the arguments for that progressing are interesting and need time to be worked out
