DJ Lynnwood – home grown on the streets of Southern Cali, has become one of the West Coast’s influential DJ’s – and is spinning his way to worldwide super-stardom. Lynnwood started spinning at the age of 10. From there Lynwood started – to make an impact on the dance scene in his city. He played every major underground event in the 80’s, held down residences at local clubs and started his radio career at age 14. DJ Lynnwood has transcended every dance music evolution since the 70’s from disco to techno-hop , electro, freestyle, hiphouse, techno, deep house, Latin house, hardhouse, groovy house, progressive, tech-house, to trance – it has been a major part of his presence in the scene to expose these major electronic dance music movements to the countless subcultures across the country. Lynnwood has had an incredible run at radio with dance music – his syndicated "Earthquake Mix" has exploded in every market since 1998 – and in Riverside/Los Angeles it has been on the air since 1993. In 1996, DJ Lynnwood broke out of his local niche to national recognition and amazing sales with his first mix CD "Earth Shakin' Deep House" which sold in excess of 80,000 copies. He has since released six mix CD’s with incredible success nationally. His latest release "HouseTrip2001" took his style to the outer boundaries of the house music. As DJ Lynnwood continues to move crowds all across the world, he has committed himself to some serious goals for the next few years.. In addition to touring and producing mix compilations, he has launched his new syndicated radio show, "Interference" which runs with in cooperation with MixMatters.com and Clear Channel Communications. This program showcases the world’s best dance DJ’s with exclusive mix sets and interactivity on the web site. It is dedicated to accommodating late night radio listeners and club goers while being extremely driven by international DJ culture. From it’s launch in 2000 we have had the world’s biggest DJ’s on the show, and we are excited about the lineup for the first quarter of 2002". His other priorities are to begin producing original tracks and remixing records. When asked "How do you feel about being a DJ in the year 2002", Lynnwood replies: "I feel that good DJ’s are finally being recognized as artists. They are artists – period. And they have to be treated as creative minds. Personally, I have always loved what I do, and I Look forward to continued experiences in this business. I’m very lucky to enjoy success while doing something that I love to do. It’s isn’t work, I’m just having fun".
