    I opened Beat Non Stop in 1991 then opened (2nd), this store (Groove Riders) in 1995

  • What makes your store unique?
    Everyone in the store is dedicated to music, and all of our staff on the record side of the store are DJ's. Not just any DJ's, but Dj's you probally have heard of like: Theo, Darky, Jesse Brooks, Alder, and the new addition DJ Meka. The best thing about Groove Riders is our Vibe in the store. We are full service to the culture, we carry all the hottest Clothing Lines, DJ Acessories and we even have a DJ School. Groove Riders also has the highest numbers in Ticket Sales for events than any other record store in LA.

  • Any dj’s that we might know shop at your store?
    DJ Dan, Mix Master Mike, BT, Feelgood, Donald Glaude, Omar Santana, P-trix, Juan Atkins, Christopher Lawrence, and Sandra Collins to name a few.

  • What’s the wildest thing that has happened at the store while you have worked there?
    Courtney Love came by the store and by the time she left her perfume consumed the air and her body glitter was on every peice of clothing. Also, Shaquille O'Neal has been in a few times and he never fails to ask one of the employee's to marry him. He call's her his "#1 Hottie DJ"

  • What type of music are you into?
    My personal favorite record of all time is Pink Floyd "Wish You Were Here"
    and my favorite dance record is "From Here to Eternity" by Giorgio Moroder
