Helen Stellar picks up where bands like Stone Roses, Ride, and My Bloody Valentine all left off. That great Wall of Guitar sound. That Huge Fuzzy Wave of guitar washes over you, supported by the deep bass and melodic vocals drift around it all. I get completely lost in this music.

This is not exactly what I would classify as Downtempo, but it makes me feel much the same way. So I recommend it whole-heartedly, as a “Off the beaten Track” trip into what DJWags is diggin’ about now.

If you’ve ever been sad, and needed a soundtrack to support that… this is it. This music says, “Hey I know what that sadness feels like, and it’s okay… revel in it…. the heart is never wrong.”
