I really sweet find for me. I have really been getting into the Nu Folk sound over the last several years with great bands like My Morning Jacket, Jose Gonzales, Lior, Death Cab For Cutie, the list goes on. In this vein of music, I found a stand out. M.Craft has great folky sound, but his music fits right into any self respecting Downtempo enthusiasts collection. If you enjoy slipping a bit of Nick Drake into a set now and again, you will appreciate this guys music in a big way. Track 5 is a standout, sounding much like something Beck may have produced for his Paper Tiber album. A bit off the beaten track for my usual electronic downtempo recommendations, but then again I told you all to go out and get into Damien Rice too right? Was I wrong? Well right or wrong, M. Craft rules man, so wake up and scrub your face, brush your teeth, get out and buy this record – or if your super lazy like me, download from iTunes.
