An amazing, although hard to find, disk from Mr. Watson who many may know from his work with Cinematic Orchestra. (See track “Home” from Cinematic Orchestra’s Ma Fleur record). Check track 3 – “Mary” – this is a highlight on the record with a great flow and subtle hints of the Beatles-popisms. A great break into a more abstract instrumental, then back seamlessly into the melody again. He really knows what he is doing and it comes through in each song on the record. His newer record “Close to Paradise” is much easier to find and also brilliant! So get both.
