A wonderful side project from Idjut Brothers team … with many guest musicians they created a wonderfully retro groovy downtempo vibe with many of these tracks. There seems to be a huge return in the club scene to a retro 70’s Euro-trash ~ Disco sound these days. In New York DJ production giants like Rub n’ tug are doing crazy cool shit with this sub genre of the 70’s disco scene that was the sort of precursor to the electronic music of the 80’s. Bands like Duran Duran, Heaven 17, and Human League barrowing heavily from this stuff.
Not to get off on a tangent … This record is the perfect party record for any time your getting all your hippest pals together to let loose. Whoever said “Disco Sucks” is probably still living at home in his Mom’s Basement, and busy wearing jeans that don’t really fit anymore, and his now worn out KISS t-shirt collection, cranking up old Def Lepard albums and air guitar'ing his way to looserville!
Don’t end up like this guy ... go find this hard to find gem of a record, and be too cool for school!
