This guy is on fire! I love this record! It’s all in there, Downtempo, Midtempo, Bossa beats, and some really great production to boot. It seems like anything buscemi does lately turns to gold. He has done some fantastic remix work this last year as well go do some diggn’ and find those too. Kudo’s to Buscemi.

The Brothers Karminsky have been around for a few years now but someone was finally smart enough to get them out into the open. Thanks to ESL! This is a great quirky, sexy, groovy, and all around original sounding record. And all in a "Good" way too. I hope to hear more from these two guys in the future. The Power of Suggestion is right, I suggest you go find it and decide for your self how powerful it is. For me…it’s workin’

Ludovic has seemingly locked himself into a room with his 70’s Soul funk collection and come out swingin’ like a Bad ass! It’s all in there, Curtis M, Isaac H, Roy A, Lonnie L. You know what I am talkn’ Bout?! This album takes you back and way deep down into an old school urban funk soul groove. I can’t believe he just recorded this record, it sounds like he snuck into Lonnie Liston Smiths Garage and stole his out takes from 1972. LOVE IT!

Wow! Have you ever seen this woman perform live?..If you have any sense at all look up her next show and bring your sweetie pie with you too. Why? You’ll find out at the show why I love this woman so much. And when you get home and slide into bed next to your "sugar pie"…look Out! You will both be charged to bursting with meshell’s deep, sultry, sexual fire! And your neighbors better have some earplugs is all I can say.
All joshn’ aside this is her best album to date. This is the Album Sade only dream of making. Don’t get me wrong Sade gets some props but Meshell is in another league altogether they should all be taking lessons from Miss Ndegeocello.

I think these guys are completely insane! We should all be so lucky. I havn’t heard a recoed that was so obviously recorded out of the shear joy of making music in a very long time. Yeah and it is great music to boot. Weird and Moving at the same time. Banjo? Slide Guitar? Some of these songs have this great nostalgic Country twang to them that no one else could even imagine incorporating in electronic music. Check out the Track "Beautiful Otherness’ this should be the Bands theme song. It perfectly describes their weird and wonderful style and groove.

One of my all time favorite records. The rohdes Keyboard sound here is epic!
Very groovy and soulful record. I think it was recorded live onto a 1/4" 2 track right in the club. Man it sounds so sweet though. Many of the downtempo groups of today are basically barrowing from records like this one. It has all the great vibe you could want from any newer downtempo track but an unduplicatable essence.
Does this make any sense? Who cares don’t listen to my gibberish just go find it. They are repressing this record now in vinyl and I think you could also find it on CD as well.

I was in Paris and found this one in a funky old record store in Saint Germaine. I remembered hearing one of their tracks on a compilation somewhere and grabbed it of handedly for a few euros. I so glad I did. This is really a great Downtempo record. Sweet Dubby Bass and drum variations. With a deep understated sense of melody and phrasing. I think of bands like Thievery Corporation, or dZiahn & kamien when I listen to this record.

They have been busy. Some of the best remix work I have ever heard. These guys are untouchable when it comes to producing distinct and righteous grooves. They don’t do so bad on their own records either. "Jump Leads" is one of my favorite records of the last few years. There are a good many songs here that you may not have ever heard before, certainly not with the Fila B treatment. I say go get it!

Another find in Paris. I have another record by these guys but stuff on mole listening pearls is hard to find in the states. You have to order online or ask for it. I really like this record much more than the other 3 recording they have out. Great downtempo sensibilities here and great rhythms and melody, kind of housey and deep All I know is I feel good when I hear it. Can you ask for anything more than that from a record? Go to the mole listening pearls website and download an exclusive track and decide for yourself.

Zorg? No not the awful low budget 70’s Si Fi film staring Sean Connery. It is a great group from Europe. Mole has a great ear for music. Lemongrass. Yonderboi, Geb-el to name few. This is another nice bit of flavor for the tasty downtempo soup they are cookin’ over there at mole.
If you enjoy a good deep warm back rub from a beautiful lusty and curvaceous woman (hey I am a guy after all) you will love this record. It’s warm, it’s soft, it’s soothing, and I guess if you really dig it that much, it may finish you off with happy ending. Is that wrong?

I absolutely love this record. "Paper Tiger" is the stand out for me. It has all this great David Axelrod production style (or if you prefer, Serge Gainsbourg) Very sexy sixties orchestrations and guitar work on this track. The rest of the record is swell too don’t get me wrong. It’s all good, so go get it and chill out would you. Life is too fast. You gotta take a second and listen to the heart of Man. It still beats strong. And strongest in music. After all it is the great equalizer. Put any one of these tracks on and I guarantee any negativity will begin to slip far far away.
