Hey guys a blast from a few years past. Jhno is on the Epitonic Label and does mostly ambient D&B stuff. But this one track I found in a bargain basement here in London … has got under my skin. It’s called “Fly”, the sound is a throwback to the good old days of sampling and mashing that groups like Ballistic Brothers, and Coldcut have been so brilliant with. It has the HUGE sample from Steve Miller, but alongside one of the grooviest downtempo basslines and beats … chillout perfection. I don’t even really know if it was released domestically, or at all really as the 12” I found is a white label promo, but do some digging cause it is really worth the time.
